Kate Marsland has been Headteacher of Morley Primary School, a small school of around 80 pupils in Derbyshire, for 8 years. The school was very proud to receive its 4th OfSTED Outstanding grade in 2012. She sits on the Derbyshire Association of Small Schools committee, and the Derbyshire School Improvement Forum.
As a NLE, Kate works with schools to mentor and support school improvement issues. She also works part time as an Associate School Improvement Advisor for the Local Authority.
Morley belongs to three TSAs, supporting particularly in ITT. The school has been part of the National SCITT programme for 15 years, and is now working with 2 TSAs to develop primary SCITT programmes. Kate moderates students for George Spencer TSA during their SCITT year, and Morley hosts students from both George Spencer TSA and 4Derbyshire Alliance.
