Interview Process
We have a thorough selection process to ensure that we are matching potential trainees to the right schools.
Stage 1 – Application
Stage 2 – Interview (currently via Virtual platform - MS Teams or Zoom)
Part 1
• Welcome and introduction, including the vision and ethos of ILTT
• Formal interview
Part 2
• Child centred lesson talk through. This will be based around a lesson for a group of Year 4 or Year 1 children (course dependant). Guidance regarding this will be shared with you when we send formal confirmation of your interview.
Stage 3 - Result
Conditional offers will be made where candidates meet the entry requirements and Inspiring leaders requirements. Feedback is given in all instances.
Stage 4 - Acceptance of Offer of Place
To accept your place you will need to confirm to us by email, and also acknowledge on UCAS/Apply. We will then be able to share some information about our planned ‘Getting to Know You’ events and the journey towards the course start.

- All applications are to be made through UCAS Teacher Training or Apply.
- The initial screening process checks for the equivalent qualifications at the appropriate level
- The range and type of experience in an educational setting are also taken into consideration.
